Recently, we studied a line chart in a report of China Daily, which was showing the trends of Hong Kong youth’s participation in four post-secondary education programs from 2000-2017. After studying the background, we deeply analyzed this information visualization in various aspects, such as its impact on society, its advantages and disadvantages as an information visualization, its issues on the aspect of analyzing information visualization, and how to improve it into a more readable visualization by combining cognitive theory, etc.
